Empower Parents to Educate Their Children
Education is far too important to leave in the hands of Raleigh
politicians and bureaucrats. Parents need more options on how to
educate their children. I will work to implement a tuition tax credit
scholarship program to free parents from the grip of the government school monopoly.
Get Out of the Way of Job Creation
Politicians like to boast that they create jobs.
But far from being job creators, politicians are more
frequently job killers. High taxes, burdensome regulation, and uncertainty about what politicians
will do next causes serious damage to North Carolina jobs. We can move North Carolina forward by
reducing taxes, eliminating burdensome regulation, and reducing licensing requirements that
stifle entrepreneurship.
End Corporate Welfare
The General Assembly likes to substitute its
wisdom for that of the free market by offering tax incentives to lure
big companies to North Carolina. Not only is this bad economics, it's
a slap in the face to the thousands of small business owners who must
compete with the tax subsidized big boys.
Protect Individual Rights
Government serves only one purpose. That purpose is to
protect each person's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of
happiness. Native or immigrant, gay or straight, black or white,
all people have the right to life liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
As a Libertarian, I hold one core philosophy. You should be free
to live your life as you see fit as long as you do not harm another
individual.
I hope you will consider casting your vote for me on November 8. I
am committed to liberty for every person in North Carolina.
